I’m so excited to be sharing more of this intimate Spokane Wedding that took place on family property overlooking the gorgeous Newman Lake. Elizabeth and Nikita spent all of last year planning the intricate details of their wedding from afar, so they would not only have the perks of a small and special wedding day with their closest family members but also have all the exciting elements that would take place in a larger wedding. As a Spokane wedding photographer, unique weddings like these are some of my absolute favorites!

How special it was for the couple to get married on their parents’ property, which had been specially landscaped for their wedding, and be able to make their wedding day exactly how they dreamed it would be. What a special way to celebrate the union of two families with a bbq feast, a traditional wedding cake (with a gorgeous cake topper), a tablescape that could have been from a fairytale, the bride’s brother officiating their ceremony, showing off their professional dance skills with a disco ball set up, and Polaris ride off into the night! As an outsider looking in, it was clear how much this day meant to every person at the wedding, and how special they each felt to be part of Liz and Nikita’s lives. There was a lot of laughter, smiles, and tears of joy, as the two finally tied the knot. They even ended up in the pool!!! & as they are originally from California, this was a special stop along the way where all their family members could meet in the PNW before the couple headed off to conquer more of their dreams in the performance industry in NYC (I know…cool right?!)

Liz and Nikita, I hope one day our paths cross again, whether they be in Spokane or NYC. But for now, I will cheer you on from social media as you live out your dreams. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your wedding day – it was truly an honor!
